Silver Fish Fritters

120g silver fish
1 egg, lightly beaten
6 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp self-raising flour
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp chilli paste
2 tsp minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying

1. Wash and soak silver fish, drain. Add beaten egg into silver fish and stir.
2. Add the flours, salt and mix well. Pour water bit by bit to get the paste like consistency.
3. Add chilli paste and garlic powder, mix till well blended.
4. Pour spoonfuls into hot oil and fry till golden brown.
5. Server hot with sauce at the side.
