Ebikatsu burger (Prawn Burger)
Source
250g shrimp, cleaned and peeled
60g mashed potato
25g flour
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp oregano, optional
1 tbsp cayenne pepper, optional
salt and pepper to taste
Coating:
1 egg
flour
bread crumbs
1. Take 2/3 of the shrimps and cut them 1 cm in length. Place the rest of the shrimps in the food processor and blend to form shrimp paste.
2. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients and form into burger patties.
3. Coat the burger patties with flour, followed by egg and lastly bread crumbs.
4. Deep fry until golden brown.
5. Serve with burger buns, cheese, sliced tomato and fresh lettuce.
